This year had its share of victories, but the ones that stuck weren't always the loudest. Shipping consistently beat shipping perfectly—three "good enough" projects generated more momentum than the one I polished for months.

The Wins and Challenges

Finding my actual audience changed everything. Stopped trying to serve everyone and doubled down on the niche that actually responded. Revenue didn't explode, but conversations got easier and work became more enjoyable.

Burnout crept in quietly because I loved the work. Had to learn the difference between productive energy and running on fumes.

What didn't work this year:

  • Waiting for motivation instead of building systems

  • Saying yes to projects that didn't fit

  • Overplanning instead of adapting
